Putting On The Armour Of God - Lisa Patterson

Ephesians 6:10 says to put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the strategies of the enemy. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. We must put on the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit which is the word of God and our feet shod with the preparation of the knowledge of the Gospel to stand against the enemy. The devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. That means that when you aren't in the Word the devil can throw fiery darts at you and you must know how to resist his temptations. But he is defeated. James 4:7 says to submit yourselves to the Lord and resist the devil and he will flee. He only devours you when you don't know the truth.
Eph.6:12 says we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and rulers of darkness and principalities if this world. You must stay hungry for (1.Truth, 2.Righteousness, 3.Gospel of peace, 4. Faith, 5. Salvation.) If you know the truth you won't be deceived! The truth is revelation of His will! Be the head and not the tail.
Isaiah 5:13 says my people go into captivity because of a lack of knowledge. Don't allow the enemy to stain you and male you captive by his thought patterns and his evil ways. He would love to take you and sift you as wheat!
But God loved you so much that He gave us his Son to come into Him with his Holiness and righteousness. we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. Take him into you and be who He made you to be! There's only one of you. God does not run a zerox machine. There will never be another you and never has been.
For righteousness which he has already given us at salvation, brings boldness to it. You have the gospel of peace where you can go into battle with peace. Eph. 6:15 says to shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Col. 3:16 says you have the peace of God when you are born again. But you must come to Him to be born again and come like a little child. There's no turning back when you come to Christ. You will not find peace like he has for you anywhere else!
Eph.6:16 says the shield of faith is to quench the fiery darts of the enemy. You must wear the whole armour for divine protection.
And Eph.6:17 says the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. So, put on the armour of God everyday so as to protect yourself from the wiles and schemes of the enemy. he is cunning and crafting says the word and will stop at nothing to kill, steal, and destroy.
Let the lord take care of you today and come into your heart so you can have this everlasting peace.

Love your Enemy - Lisa Patterson

Today we will study how to "Love your Enemy."
Isaiah 10:27 says your burdens will be removed and yokes destroyed because of the annointing(fatness around your neck). It cost you to hold resentment in your heart for your enemies. Let God take that burden away so you don't have to bear it anymore. God has to gradually build you up for what He wants for you.
Heb.2:1 He has given us the Holy Spirit. If you haven't gotten the annointing you don;t have it. You may have the Holy Spirit but not the annointing. God said your gotta do something yourself. We have a choice to want Him or not. He is a gentleman and will not force himself on anyone. He gave us a will to choose to do right or not to. Give up iniquity and get to praying for your enemies so they don't go to the lake of fire. You would want the same for yourself.
You cannot expect to go to Heaven and holding grudges against your neighbor or any of your enemies. You must give it to God for He knows what to do where we don't. So many times we harbour grudges against people and they don't know it. You are only hurting yourself. When you let go God can handle the other person but if you don;t you are tying God"s hands. It is time to do our job and not rely on everyone else. You cannot expect to be blessed and be ugly to others, or unforgiving.
Lay aside the weight that holds you back. Forgive others for they are human too.
Poverty thinking is to not let go of the past and let the future come through. Let go of the poverty thinking so God can bring you up to where He wants you.
The devil wants you to give up and throw in the towel. He is mad but you must pond like you have the victory over him. Whatever you feed will take over in your
life. But with Christ you have a new mindset and focus. And the Lord tells you simple things, not mystical. He's a loving Father who wants everyone so He will go about it simply and not rash or harsh. He wants you to work and produce the fruits of your labor.
So come to Christ today and let him love you and take away the heavy yoke that so easily besets us so we won:t be bombarded with the devil's mess. Don't let the devil hold you back with unforgiveness and harbouring thoughts about your enemy today.

Letting God Be God - Lisa Patterson

Our title today is "Letting God be God." We don't seem to realize that He made us in His image, not ours. And we were made for His glory and nor our own, We do not understand the facet of God's love for us. He created us with his own craftsmanship, and it was to satisfy Him. Our Father loves us with an everlasting love that we do not understand. So when things go wrong in our lives, we don't need to blame God! The devil is out there as a roaring lion seeking whom he may desire.
If we could get a glimpse of how much the Lord has done for us we would be able to understand His wonderful love for us. Until we study His word and what He is telling us, it will be hard to put things together in our minds. Psalm 16:11 says to show me the path of life in His presence-things we have not seen or heard yet. God only wants the ones the world thinks they can't do it. So that's you! Give up your life to follow His plan because it won't work another way.
For God is not a mental thing. We can't know Him with our mental understanding. We never will. He wants us to know Him by faith, and the only way is to spend time reading his word and spending time with Him. Psalm 138:8 says the Lord will perfect that which concerns me: Your mercy, O Lord endures forever: Do not forsake the works of your hands. I Peter 5:6 says He will lift you up-humble yourself, cast your cares upon the Lord for he careth for you.
He just wants us to trust Him in all that we do, no matter big or small. It's the smallest things sometimes that make the heart of the Lord proud because you trust Him for those things. How can you trust in the big things unless you first trust in the smaller ones. He stood in our place so we wouldn't have to. That is love that no man can fathom. Col. 1:9 God is not mental (realm). We cannot see what He looks like or what He's doing but we have to trust Him to know He's God and will take care of us.Our place is not to try to figure God out. But just to read about Him and believe what his word says. Faith has nothing to do with what you can see or hear. It isn't the five senses. Mark 11: 23 says walk by faith in your heart and what you believe will come to pass. Believe that you will receive the righteousness of God and you will have it. He is no respector of persons. He doesn't value you more than me and vice versa. Come to Him today and let God be God of your life which He truely wants to be. Give Him your cares and worries today.

Forgiveness - Lisa Patterson

Col. 3:5 Says therefore put to death your members which are on earth. Fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and covetousness, which is idolatry. And now you are to put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds.
And to have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created you. There is neither Greek, Jew, Barbarian, circumcised, or uncircumcised, slave nor free. But Christ is all and in all.
The new man should be as Holy and beloved,vs.12.Put on tender mercies forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, you must also.
Daniel 9:9 says to the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness though we have rebelled against Him. It is not what we want to do but what He has given us to do. We must forgive to go on in our lives no matter how small or large. We were bought with such a price that cannot be matched by man. We must obey.
When you recommit your life to Christ your sins are forgiven. John 3:38 says the wrath of God is on you if you have not come to Christ. Proverbs 27 says now is the accepted tome for Salvation. You do not know the day nor the hour the Lord will come, so it is not wise to play around with eternity. make that decision now. No man knows the day nor the hour or how long your life will be.
Gal. 5:13 Serve one another through love. God can hear us. He's right there. We are seated with Him. Search the scriptures- they won't fall in your lap. It's a living word-not dead. We should be copying what Jesus does. We should be looking at problems the way Jesus does. He is higher than the problem. Look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. He is risen and is there to forgive and help you out of your mess. Take heed and listen to what He is saying today because He loves you. Let God Love You --Lisa Patterson

Our title today is to "Let God Love You." He wants to have our attention all the time and we do not give Him our undivided attention. He loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever will come to Him they might have life and have life more abundantly. We need to give God the attention He deserves because He made us in His own image. He bore our sins and weaknesses and sickness so that we would all come to His side and be made whole. He loves us so much and yet we give more attention to games and T.V.
He is a jealous God and we will be held accountable for our deeds and actions. John3:16 says for God so loved the world that whoever believes that His Son died on the Cross and rose again the third day for you. It is a simple prayer in you heart that you believe and pray that prayer and Jesus will come into your heart to live. He will blot out your tears, your past and mistakes. All because his blood was shed for you and me. And that is what He wants to do for you today.
Make it right with Him, as there is no other way to Heaven except to call on the name of the Lord. Eternity is forever and there is no turning back. Hell was only made for the devil, not for God's people. And with prayer we can do anything and even turn this country around.
Our mistakes are that we don't spend time with the Father. He had answers for us that we look other places for, and yet He's trying to get our attention. Sometimes we'll feel ill or our finances will be in trouble etc. and it's not because of the Lord. It's because we don't spent quality time with Him and let Him give us the answer to our questions.
Please be sensitive to the Lord as He is to us. He only wants our time. We would save money, our health would be better, our families would come together and we would have peace in our hearts. The Word says to love the Lord with all your heart, all your strength, and all your mind. Be greatful today that with His love you won't go to hell, but the the peaceful place called Heaven where He is and the angels worship night and day and protect you from the enemy.

Sinners - Lisa Patterson

John 9:31 says God does not hear sinners. But while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Christ demonstrates His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, He died for us. Having now been justified by His blood we shall be saved from wrath through Him. If we were sinners we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And then we have received the reconciliation. Psalm 23:17 says to let not your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day. Surely there is a hereafter and your hope will not be cut off.
Do not mix with winebibbers, or with gluttonous eaters of meat. The drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe a man with rags.
LIsten to your Father who has begotten you, and do not despise your Mother when she is old. Proverbs 24 says do not desire to be with evil men. For their heart devises violence and lips talk of trouble. Vs. 21 says to fear the Lord and the King. Do not associate with those given to change. Their calamity will rise suddenly and you do not know the ruin those can bring. Vs. 19 says do not fret because of evildooers. For their will be no respect for the evil man. Vs. 25 Those who rebuke the wicked will have delight. And a good blessing will come upon them.
Do not say I will do him just as he has done to me. The Lord will render to the man according to his work. The field of the lazy man and man devoid of understanding was all over grown with thorns. The only concern the lazy have is for a little sleep.
Proverbs 26:17 He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears. As charcoal is to burning coals and wood to fire, so is a contentious man to kindle strife.
Proverbs 29:7 Righteous people are concerned for the poor and help them. The wicked do not even consider them. Scoffers set a city aflame, but wise men turn away wrath. A fool vents all his feelings, but a wise man holds them back.
So chose you this day whom you will serve. There is no turning back when it is all over. You either go to Heaven or Hell. Sinners are not answered by God unless they are trying to come to Him. Don't choose the wrong path today. Choose life and life more abundantly. There is no turning back when the time comes. And the Bible says now is the time to come to Him. Turn away from your sins today and let Christ take control of your life this day.

God's Sheep - Lisa Patterson

Today we will be studying about God's Sheep. The Shepherd knows His Sheep. John10:25 says My Sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. My Father is greater than all and given them to me. And no one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand. For I and the Father are one.
John 10:1 He who does not enter the sheep fold by the door but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To Him the door keeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. When he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice. They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him. For they do not know the voice of strangers,(v 7). Jesus said again, I am the door of the sheep. All whoever come before me are thieves and robbers. But the sheep did not hear them and I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. I have come that they will have life.
The thieves and robbers were the Pharises. The stranger is anyone whom the sheep do not know, but not always a thief and a robber. Sheep won't follow a strangers voice, even if he used the shepherd's call and imitated his tone. A heirling is a hired shepherd, a mercenery who tends the flock for his won interest. When a hired shepherd sees a wolf coming, he flees, not caring about the sheep.
Jesus had the power to voluntarily lay down His life for the sheep (v 11,15,17), but also to take it up again. No one but God can do that.
The characteristics of sheep are (1- they hear his voice (v4), (2 they follow Him (faith), (3 they shall never perish. Their eternal life can never be taken away. The Father's hand is more powerful than the enemy. And the scripture says I and my Father are one (Jesus). So today take a look and see if you and Jesus are one and the same, and if you are truely His sheep. He loves everyone and wants us all to come into Him today and take that step of faith and belong to Him.
